Kateri Carmola has researched and taught about armed conflict, law, and the private security industry for over a decade. She is the author of the book Private Security Contractors in New Wars, and has spoken on the topic around the world. She recently completed a human rights risk and impact analysis of a PSC with operations in Basra and Baghdad, Iraq. She has a Ph.D. in Political Science from UC Berkeley.| Email
Ethan Bond brings a decade’s worth of PSC experience in Iraq and Afghanistan serving as a Country Manager and as a Director with Aegis LLC. Ethan oversaw Aegis LLC’s development of the systems that allowed Aegis to become one of the first PSC-1 certified companies. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Leadership Development Program and is currently serving as Corporate Development Manager for Aspen HCS with operations throughout Africa.| Connect
Mark Knight serves as an industry representative on the current board of the International Code of Conduct for Private Security Providers. After serving in the British military, he worked for international and non-governmental organizations, in Indonesia, Sierra Leone, and Bosnia. He is Director of Montreux Solutions, in Geneva, and has done human rights risk and impact analyses for PSCs.| Connect
